If your current filter can no longer be cleaned and is not functioning properly, you should replace it promptly with this item. Replacing the WP707929 Whirlpool Grease Filter
1. Before proceeding, turn off the power to your range hood at the circuit breaker.
2. Pull out the filter tray or basket and shake off any debris or grease.
3. Remove the existing filter by grasping it at each end and pulling carefully away from the hood.
