1. Begin by unplugging the range or cooktop from the power outlet and turning off any gas connections.
2. Remove the knobs, screws and other accessories from the top of the device to access the hold down nut.
3. Find the 00188978 Bosch Range / Cooktop Hold Down Nut and use a wrench or pliers to loosen and remove it from the range or cooktop.
4. Insert the new 00188978 Bosch Range / Cooktop Hold Down Nut and secure it in place with a wrench or pliers.
5. Replace the knobs, screws and other accessories that were removed from the top of the device.
6. Plug the range or cooktop back into the power outlet and turn on any gas connections.
7. Test the connection to ensure the Bosch range / cooktop is securely held in place.
