Replacing the 4036ER4001C LG Washer Gasket (Outer Tub Seal)
1. Unplug the power to your LG washer from its electrical outlet.
2. Turn off both the hot and cold water supply lines and disconnect them from the back of the washer.
3. Lift the top of the LG washer so you can access the inside.
4. Use a Phillips-head screwdriver to loosen and remove the three screws that hold the front panel in place.
5. Pull the front panel away from the unit.
6. With the front panel removed, locate the old gasket by the tub seal.
7. Remove the old gasket and discard it.
8. Place the new gasket around the perimeter of the tub seal.
9. Secure the new gasket by tightening the three screws. Push in the corners of the front panel back into place.
10. Reconnect the hot and cold water supply lines and plug the power to the LG washer into the electrical outlet.
11. Turn the water supply lines on and test to make sure the new gasket is effective by running the washer.
