1. Begin by unplugging the appliance from the power outlet and disconnecting the water supply.
2. Remove the lower dish rack by grasping it firmly at the sides and gently pulling upwards.
3. Carefully remove the used crockery basket and dispose of it. Do not put it in the trash or down the drain as it may contain hazardous materials.
