DIY Guide to Replacing the LG Dryer Top Plate Assembly (AGU72925524)
Replacing your LG dryer’s top plate assembly can be a straightforward task. Follow this comprehensive guide to replacing your AGU72925524 LG dryer top plate assembly yourself and save time and money.
Tools and Materials Needed:
• Phillips screwdriver
• ¼†nut driver
• Top plate assembly (AGU72925524)
Step 1: Unplug your dryer from its power source.
Step 2: Remove the control panel on your LG dryer by using your Phillips screwdriver to unscrew the two screws located on either side of the dryer’s control console.
Step 3: Carefully lift the control panel up and away from the top of the dryer. This will reveal the existing top plate assembly.
Step 4: Remove the two mounting screws located on either side of the existing top plate assembly with your ¼†nut driver.
Step 5: Carefully lift the top plate assembly off of the dryer and set to the side.
Step 6: Place the new top plate assembly (AGU72925524) onto the dryer.
Step 7: Secure the new top plate assembly to the dryer by securing the mounting screws you removed earlier.
Step 8: Reinstall the control panel by aligning it properly with the top of the dryer and securing it with the two screws.
Step 9: Plug the dryer back into its power source.
You have now successfully replaced the LG dryer's top plate assembly (AGU72925524)!
