DIY Guide on How to Replace a 316400601 Frigidaire Range Bottom Panel
If your oven's bottom panel needs replacing, then this guide will help you do it yourself without the help of an appliance repair professional. While the steps below are relatively straightforward, make sure that you take safety precautions and disconnect the power before performing any maintenance.
Step-by-Step Guide:
1. Unplug the range from the wall outlet. Make sure to turn off the circuit breaker supplying power to the range.
2. Remove the drawer under the range.
3. Unscrew the screws located at the edge of the rear panel near the cabinet. The screws hold the back panel in place.
4. Carefully lift the back panel of the oven up and off.
5. Loosen the two screws on the bottom panel of the oven.
6. Carefully pull the panel down and out of the oven.
7. Get a new replacement bottom panel from a trusted home appliance store. Most likely, it will be labeled '316400601'.
8. Place the panel into the oven and line up the screw holes with the mountings.
9. Secure the panel into the oven by tightening the screws into the slots.
10. Put the back panel back into place by aligning it against the top edge of the oven frame.
11. Re-secure the screws that you previously removed.
12. Put the drawer back in its place.
13. Switch the circuit breaker back on, and plug the stove into the wall outlet.
14. Test the range to make sure it works correctly.
Congratulations! You have successfully replaced the bottom panel of your Frigidaire range!
