W11568640 Whirlpool Knob

1. Unplug the refrigerator power cord from the power outlet.

2. Lift the top of the control knob to remove it from the stem on the control panel.

3. Locate the screws that secure the control panel to the refrigerator. Remove the screws, then slide the panel up and off of the refrigerator frame.

4. Unscrew the retaining nut on the underside of the control panel, then pull the shaft of the old knob straight out of the panel.

5. Insert the new Whirlpool W11568640 KNOB into the control panel. Make sure it is fully inserted.

6. Reattach the retaining nut onto the underside of the control panel and hand-tighten it.

7. Slide the control panel back onto the refrigerator frame and reinstall the screws.

8. Replace the top of the control knob onto the shaft. Make sure it fully snaps into place.

9. Plug the refrigerator back into the power outlet.

10. Turn the knob to the desired setting and allow the refrigerator to cool.
