Description
This Gas Range Surface Burner Head is a replacement part that directs the gas to the burner of your range, distributing gas through holes or slots to create an even flame across the cooking area. If your burner no longer ignites, you can alleviate this issue by replacing this part. Installing this item will require basic hand tools, some disassembly of the range and novice repair experience. Remember to unplug the range or shut off the house circuit breaker for the appliance before installing this item. Also make sure to turn off the gas valve before the repair. Step 1: Unplug your appliance before beginning any repair work.
Step 2: Remove the screws holding the burner head in place using a Phillips screwdriver.
Step 3: Lift the old burner head out of the stovetop and set aside.
Step 4: Place the new Whirlpool WP8286813 BURNR-HEAD into the stovetop and replace the screws to secure.
Step 5: Turn on your appliance to test the new burner head.
Step 6: Once everything is working properly, plug it back in and your repair is complete.
