Replacing the Whirlpool WP2306093 EVAPORATOR
1. Unplug the refrigerator from power before attempting to replace the evaporator. Locate the rear panel of the refrigerator.
Remove the screws that hold in the back panel and gently pull away the panel to gain access to the evaporator.
2. Identify the location of the evaporator. It is located in the back wall of the freezer compartment. Make sure to turn off all ice makers and water systems associated with the refrigerator before attempting any repairs.
3. Loosen the evaporator with a flat head screwdriver. Carefully slide the evaporator out and make sure to remove any accumulated frost.
4. Disconnect the wiring harnesses associated with the evaporator. Clean the area around the evaporator and vacuum up any dust that has accumulated.
5. Place the new evaporator into the opening and make sure it is securely in place. Reattach the wiring harnesses and evaporator appropriately so they are in the same places as they were when you removed them.
6. Reattach the back panel of the refrigerator and plug in the power cord. Turn on the power to the refrigerator and allow time for the refrigerator to cool down.
7. Check to ensure there are no leaks or other issues with the new evaporator. If everything seems to be functioning correctly, you have successfully replaced the Whirlpool WP2306093 evaporator.
