Step 1: Unplug the Dryer
Before you start any repair, make sure to unplug the dryer from the wall.
Step 2: Open the Dryer
Open the dryer door and locate the two screws located on the inside of the door opening. Remove the screws with a screwdriver.
Step 3: Remove the Front Panel
Once the screws have been removed, pull the front panel away from the dryer. There is a plastic clip on the top of the panel that needs to be unscrewed before you can move the panel away from the dryer.
Step 4: Replace the Felt Seal
Once the panel is removed, locate the worn-out felt seal and remove it. Install the new felt seal to the dryer door frame by using the adhesive that is included in the package. Make sure to evenly distribute the adhesive on the felt seal before pressing it into the frame.
Step 5: Reassemble the Dryer
Reattach the front panel to the dryer. Secure it with the two screws. Close the dryer door and plug the dryer back into the wall.
Your Frigidaire dryer is now ready to use with its new felt seal!
